Volunteer Opportunities at Laramie Interfaith

We offer a range of volunteer roles across several key program areas. Here is what volunteering can look like depending on where your interests and skills align.

Food Pantry

Food insecurity is a real challenge in Albany County, and our food pantry is one of the most active ways volunteers make a difference. As a food pantry volunteer, you might:

  • Sort and stock donated food items
  • Assist clients as they select groceries during pantry hours
  • Support food drives and food distribution events

No prior experience is required. We will show you everything you need to know.

Front Desk Support

Behind every program is an operational team that keeps things running. If you prefer to contribute your organizational, communication, or technical skills, our administrative volunteer roles may be the right fit for you. Tasks can include:

  • Data entry and client check-in
  • Answering Client questions at the front desk

Who Volunteers with Laramie Interfaith?

Our volunteers reflect the diversity and spirit of Laramie itself. We are joined by UW students fulfilling service learning requirements, retirees looking to stay connected and engaged, community members living out their values, professionals contributing their expertise, and neighbors who simply want to help.

There are no requirements beyond a willingness to show up and a commitment to treating every person with respect and dignity. Volunteers of all backgrounds, ages, and experience levels are welcome.

What Is the Time Commitment?

We understand that life is busy. That is why we offer flexible scheduling across a variety of shifts and roles. Many volunteers contribute just a few hours per week, while others take on more regular commitments. We work with your schedule, not against it.
