New Digital System Promises Faster Check-Ins, Enhanced Privacy, and Improved Client Experience Starting March 2

Starting March 2, 2026, Laramie Interfaith will use the Plentiful app for all pantry check-ins. This digital system will streamline the registration process, improve data security, and reduce wait times for all pantry visitors.

All pantry users will need a Plentiful account beginning March 2, 2026. We encourage you to download the app and set up your account before the launch date to ensure a smooth transition.

What Is Plentiful?

Plentiful is a free mobile application designed specifically for food pantries and their clients. Once you create an account, checking in at the pantry is simple: open the app, display your QR code, and our staff will scan it. Your check-in is complete in seconds.

The app eliminates the need to fill out paper forms at each visit, saving time and protecting your personal information through secure digital storage.

How to Get Started

Download the Plentiful app now to be ready for March 2, 2026:

  • For smartphone users: Open the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play (Android), search for "Plentiful," and download the free app, or scan the QR code in our office. .
  • For those without smartphones: Text the word FOOD to 726-879 (PANTRY) from any phone to access Plentiful via text message.

After downloading, create your account by entering your contact information and selecting Laramie Interfaith as your food pantry. This one-time setup takes just a few minutes.

Why the change to Plentiful?

The transition to Plentiful offers several improvements:

  • Faster service: Digital check-ins take only seconds, compared to filling out paper forms, significantly reducing your wait time. 
  • Enhanced privacy: Your personal information is securely stored in the digital system, eliminating the need for paper forms. 
  • Direct control: You can update your contact information, household size, and other details in the app at any time.
  • Language features: Plentiful offers many language options. 

Morning Reservations

The Plentiful app includes a reservation feature that replaces our current morning lottery system. Between 10:30 AM and 12:20 PM, please make a reservation through the app to secure your place in line.

This feature allows you to:

  • Know your position in line before arriving
  • Plan your visit around your schedule

Making a reservation is not required. You can continue to visit during regular pantry hours without a reservation if you prefer. However, those with reservations will be prioritized. 

Setting Up Your Account: Step by Step

  1. Download the app: Search for "Plentiful" in your device's app store, scan the QR code in our office, or text FOOD to 726-879.
  2. Create your profile: Enter your name, phone number, email address (if you have one), and household information.
  3. Find Laramie Interfaith: Search for our pantry in the app's directory and add it to your saved locations.
  4. Save your QR code: Your unique QR code will be displayed in the app in your profile tab. You can take a screenshot for quick access!

Setting up your account now means you'll be ready to check in quickly when you visit on or after March 2, 2026.

Support Available

If you encounter difficulties setting up your account or don't have access to a smartphone, our staff can assist you during your visit. However, downloading the app yourself before March 2, 2026 will help ensure the smoothest possible experience for everyone.

TEFAP and Commodities Programs

The Plentiful app will only be used for pantry check-ins. If you participate in our TEFAP (The Emergency Food Assistance Program) or Commodities programs, your current process will remain unchanged.

  • Now through March 1, 2026: Download the Plentiful app and create your account. The sooner you set up, the more familiar you'll be with the system.
  • March 2, 2026: Plentiful becomes the official check-in system for all pantry visits. All visitors will need a Plentiful account to access pantry services.

  1. Is there a cost to use Plentiful? No. The Plentiful app is completely free to download and use.
  2. What if I don't have a smartphone? You can access Plentiful by texting FOOD to 726-879 from any phone. This text-based option provides the same functionality as the app.
  3. Do I need to make a reservation? No. Reservations are optional. They are available between 10:30 AM and 12:20 PM if you want to secure a specific time, but you can visit during regular pantry hours without one. In the morning, those with reservations will be prioritized over walk-ins. 
  4. What if I forget my phone when I visit? Staff can look up your account using your name and phone number to check you in.
  5. Will this system work for everyone in my household? Yes. One household member creates the account with the household information, and that single account covers everyone.
  6. What information do I need to provide? You'll need your name, phone number, and basic household information (number of people in your household, ages, etc.). Email address is optional but recommended for account recovery.
