Laramie Interfaith operates a trusted food bank and food pantry offering free food assistance to anyone in Albany County. If you're facing food insecurity, we're here to help—no documentation required. Our main pantry provides non-perishable food and basic hygiene items for pickup once a week. Perishable food items such as bread, pastries, fruits, and vegetables are available throughout the week.

Pantry Hours, Location & What’s Available

Laramie Interfaith’s main pantry is stocked with a variety of non-perishable food and basic hygiene items.

Our food pantry is open at the following times:

  • Monday & Wednesday: 11:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday & Thursday: 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
  • Closed on Fridays

What You Can Receive:

  • Non-perishable food items & hygiene supplies – once per week, based on household size
  • Fresh, perishable foods (bread, produce, pastries) – available Monday through Thursday, as often as needed

Plentiful

Plentiful is a free mobile application designed specifically for food pantries and their clients. Once you create an account, checking in at the pantry is simple: open the app, display your QR code, and our staff will scan it. Your check-in is complete in seconds. The app eliminates the need to fill out paper forms at each visit, saving time and protecting your personal information through secure digital storage.

How to Get Started: Download the Plentiful app

  • For smartphone users: Open the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play (Android), search for "Plentiful," and download the free app, or scan the QR code in our office. .
  • For those without smartphones: Text the word FOOD to 726-879 (PANTRY) from any phone to access Plentiful via text message.

After downloading, create your account by entering your contact information and selecting Laramie Interfaith as your food pantry. This one-time setup takes just a few minutes.

Setting Up Your Account: Step by Step

  1. Download the app: Search for "Plentiful" in your device's app store, scan the QR code in our office, or text FOOD to 726-879.
  2. Create your profile: Enter your name, phone number, email address (if you have one), and household information.
  3. Find Laramie Interfaith: Search for our pantry in the app's directory and add it to your saved locations.
  4. Save your QR code: Your unique QR code will be displayed in the app in your profile tab. You can take a screenshot for quick access!

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I receive pet food or hygiene items from the food pantry?

These items are not brought to the front of the pantry due to space restrictions; however, we can give them out upon request. Just let the staff/volunteers at the pantry counter know what you are looking for.

Who can access the food pantry?

Anyone can access the pantry. You do not need to be an Albany County resident and there are no income restrictions for the main pantry. The TEFAP program is income restricted – see the TEFAP FAQ below to learn more.

Can I request a specific food item?

The items on the front-facing pantry shelf and in the pantry refrigerators/freezers are what is available each day. These items are brought to the front from storage as we have enough available. If you don't see it, chances are we aren't giving it out that day. Staff/volunteers cannot retrieve specific food items.

What are your hours?

Monday & Wednesday: 11:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Tuesday & Thursday: 11:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Friday: Closed (except for TEFAP/USDA Commodities distribution)

What should I expect if I need Laramie Interfaith services?

When you arrive at Laramie Interfaith, we will request that you fill out an application. We work hard with our partners to reduce and remove barriers as well as limit the information we gather. But, please understand there are requirements we cannot control.

Plentiful- When you arrive at Laramie Interfaith, you will be asked to create a client account by creating an account with Plentiful. This allows our team to register your household in our system so we can provide services and keep accurate records for our programs. Creating an account only takes a few minutes and typically includes providing basic household information such as your name, contact information, household size, and general demographic details.

HMIS - Our application for rental and utility assistance does require more information. You will need to bring documentation of any source of income and savings. In addition, we are required to keep copies of your lease, bills from the utility company, and any notice of disconnect or eviction (notice to quit).
